A very well supported meeting by East Lancashire

Blessed with good weather again for November a large contingent of East Lancashire Secret Monitors all headed south for the annual meeting of Grand Conclave at Freemasons Hall, Great Queens Street, London.

The meeting was very well organised and saw Wy.Bro Allan M. Shields in his year of acting Grand Steward earning his money, in his stewards role escorting the recipients of Grand Rank up to the stage to be invested. He was ably assisted by another member of his Conclave Henri Lyons who was back in is role as a Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies as he helped shepherd the proud recipients from their seats down to the floor.

Eight recipients from East Lancashire were honoured on the day, two with active ranks for the year and they were V.Wy.Bro. Stephen P. Holcroft who gained a third year as Grand Visitor and Wy.Bro. Paul A. Joynson who was honoured as Grand Steward.
First appointments went to Wy.Bro Martin P. Roche as Past Grand Standard Bearer and Promotions went to the follow brethren in the form of Past Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, Wy.Bro. Alan S. Edge, Wy.Bro. Steven N. Smith, Wy.Bro. Terrence Kershaw and Wy.Bro David Pastell.
V.Wy.Bro Paul Brown was reappointed for the sixth year as Grand Organist.

Following the meeting the celebrations continued in the Grand Connaught Rooms with an excellent meal and an abundant supply of wines.
