Bury Conclave Gets A New Supreme Ruler

Former Director of Ceremonies of Bury Conclave No 80, David Rigby, returned to the chair after 14 years. He was installed in fine style by Graham Wood who was assisted by the officers of the conclave and visitors chipping in. Stephen Jackson was on hand to represent the Province of East Lancashire.

Stephen Holcroft, the Provincial Director of Ceremonies was on hand to present the Travelling Arrow to the conclave. It had been returned to the Head of the order at the Provincial meeting recently and now embarks on its journey round the province speeding to its destined mark.

David & Graham with the Arrow
Following a most sincere ceremony, David invested his team for the New Year ahead and then closed the conclave.

The brethren retired to the dining area of Ashday Lea, Rawtenstall’s Masonic hall. A fine meal was enjoyed by all and David reminisced about his long standing membership of Bury Conclave as well as how much he was looking forward to his year at the helm.
