Brethren
With Christmas creeping upon us very quickly and before the festivities overtake us, I would like to take
this opportunity to pass on to you all, my personal compliments of the season and to wish each and
every one you, a very Merry Christmas.
In the past twelve months, we have sadly said our goodbyes to brethren who have gone to The Grand
Supreme of Us All. They will always remain with us in our memories, and our thoughts and prayers are
with those they have left behind, especially at this time of year.
We have welcomed new members into the Order, and I am sure that they will be welcomed into
Conclaves as they travel around the Province, expanding their Masonic knowledge and friendship.
I am mindful, especially at this time of the year, that although many will enjoy Christmas with their
families, there will be some brethren, who for no fault of their own or due to circumstances, may find
themselves on their own for the whole or part of the festive period. Could I ask that the Conclave
Visiting Deacons make contact please and be that friend, it`s good to talk.
It would appear that I have a new vocation in life, dressed as the Big Man in Red at the local Primary
School and the works Children’s Xmas party. What children ask for truly amazes me, and the majority
want the simple things, art stuff – space hoppers – train sets – dolls, but the one that will remain me
forever and brings into reality what most of us enjoy, this little boy when asked, paused for a moment
and then said that he wanted more me time with his mum and dad. Brethren, please enjoy what you
have and look after those who you truly hold dear.
We have much to look forward to and on behalf of Julie and myself, we both wish you and your families
a happy and a prosperous New Year
Yours in the Friendship of the Order
